Basketball is an amazing sport loved by many. However not many people realize how much work is put into one single game. I was not only so lucky as to have the opportunity to see the Montreal Alliance team play, but also to see how everything came together and to meet the remarkable people that made it all happen. They were so welcoming, inviting guests in with warm, genuine smiles and working together so well. The team spirit was strong, and it created a truly happy and exciting ambiance. Also, I didn’t realize how unique this experience would be until I set foot in the stadium and saw just how close to the game and players I would be. I felt so lucky to shake hands with them as they walked in, say hello the dancers as they put on their costumes and meet all the people who worked behind the scenes. Seeing so many fans with a love for basketball gather and cheer on their home team was so special and I am glad to have had the chance to participate in the Future Leaders program.
