2022-2023 (as of March 22): Averaged 12.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 28.3 minutes per game while shooting 54 percent from the field with the Montréal Alliance… Ranked first on the team in total points (243) and rebounds (99)... Score 10 or more points in 12 of his last 13 games… Ranked second on the team in points per game and first in rebounds per game… Joined Astoria Bydgoszcz in the Polish Basketball League and averages 9.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game… Scored 10 or more points in 10 games… Scored a season-high 21 points against Rawlplug Sokol Lancut (March 18, 2023)... Was named to the Polish Basketball League All-Star team in the 23rd week of competition. 


UNIVERSITY / COLLEGE CAREER:


2021-2022: Cayo ranked fourth on his team with 9.1 points per game and third on his team with 4.4 rebounds per game. He also ranked seventh in the A-10 conference shooting 55.7 percent from the field. He started all 37 games and registered a career-high 67 assists. Helped Richmond qualify for the March Madness where they reached the second round after a 67-63 win against the University of Iowa where Cayo scored 15 points. In a second-round loss to Providence College, Cayo led his team with 18 points, five rebounds and one assist. 


2020-2021: Cayo averaged 12.2 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. Finished the season shooting 54.9 percent from the field, the fourth highest average in school history. Started all 23 games and became the 50th member of Richmond University to reach 1,000 points in a game against Saint Joseph’s on March 1. Named MVP of the Bluegrass Showcase. 


2019-2020: Averaged 8.9 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. Shot 56.4 percent from the field, the second highest average in school history. Only player in the A-10 conference to rank in the top 10 in field goal percentage and free throw percentage. 


2018-2019: Averaged 12.9 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. Led Richmond in field goal percentage with 59.9 percent, the third highest in the A-10. Started all 33 games and registered the greatest increase in scoring average of any player in the A-10, increasing his average by 10.6 points per game. 


2017-2018: Averaged 2.3 points and 1.7 rebounds. Appeared in 32 games, starting two of them. 


PERSONAL:



Grew up in the neighbourhood of Sainte-Rose in Laval. Attended Des Cèdres elementary school and École d’éducation internationale in high school before joining Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf. Played for the Brookwood Elite basketball program in Pierrefonds and Pagé in Park Extension.
