Rohlehr and Webster-Chan sign with Montréal Alliance

The Montréal Alliance announced Thursday that it has signed Canadian shooting guard Negus Webster-Chan. Webster-Chan played the final seven games of the Alliance season in 2023, averaging 2.9 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 22.9 minutes per game. In addition to adding Webster-Chan, the Alliance also announced that it has signed Canadian centre Christian Rohlehr. Rohlehr played in the Alliance’s final nine games in 2023, averaging 4.1 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.3 blocks and 11.0 minutes per game. The Montréal team also announced the release of Shaquille Doorson and Jaden Edwards.

 

A six-foot-seven guard from Scarborough, Ontario, Webster-Chan played the 2023-24 season with Los Mochis in Mexico under Alliance head coach Derrick Alston Sr. In 17 games in Mexico, Webster-Chan averaged 6.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists.

 

Webster-Chan played the 2019 and 2020 CEBL seasons with the Saskatchewan Rattlers, where he helped his team win the inaugural CEBL championship with a 17-point, five-rebound, four-assist performance in the deciding game. The Canadian also played seven games with the Ottawa BlackJacks in 2021.

 

From 2016 to 2018, Webster-Chan played in the NBA G League with Toronto Raptors affiliate Raptors 905, where he reached the championship finals twice. In the 2016-17 season, he won the NBA G League title against the Rio Grande Vipers alongside Pascal Siakam and Fred VanFleet.

 

A six-foot-10 centre from Toronto, Rohlehr played nine games with the Montréal Alliance in 2023.

 

Rohlehr played the 2023-24 season in Switzerland with Starwings, averaging 15.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 2.7 blocks in 28.9 minutes per game. The Canadian played the 2022-23 season in Azerbaijan, where he averaged 10.9 points, 7.6 rebounds and 25.3 minutes in 35 games.
