An iconic figure in Canadian basketball and two-time NBA champion, Joel Anthony’s remarkable journey has come full circle, returning him to his Montréal roots. Following an illustrious ten-year NBA career, including two championships with the Miami Heat, Anthony now dedicates his expertise to developing professional basketball in his hometown.

His professional career began with the Miami Heat in 2007, where he quickly became a key component of the franchise. During seven seasons in Miami, playing alongside basketball legends such as LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, Ray Allen and Shaquille O’Neal, Anthony contributed to the team’s 2012 and 2013 championship victories. On the international stage, Anthony proudly represented Canada for over a decade (2006-2019) with the Senior Men’s National Team, embodying Canadian basketball excellence. After concluding his playing career with San Lorenzo in Argentina, he transitioned to basketball operations as a Player Development Consultant for the CEBL’s Hamilton Honey Badgers.
Appointed as the first General Manager of the Montréal Alliance in December 2021, Anthony brings invaluable experience from the highest level of professional basketball.
